I just returned from my 5th trip (in less than 4 years!) for stitches for a little guy! Alex strikes again - this time a head laceration deserving of 3 staples. His last trip for stitches was the head also. This time, it happened while lunging to his pillow when he heard Mom coming to scold the little dudes for monkeying around.
Of course, Alex slept in the ER waiting room (no urgent cares open after 10pm in GR), in the exam room, and while we were checking out. He woke up only for about 90 seconds when the staples went in. Taking his blows like a pro!
No swimming for a whole week until the staples come out...that's going to be the most painful part of the experience I'm afraid :(

Way to go Alex! Sleeping through the ER delays, now that's the way to make the time fly! Eat your heart out mommy.

Yikes. Poor kid. And poor Mom!
Hope he's doing OK. Think of all the stories he can make up about where he got his scars. It's always more interesting to say "this one was from the time I wrestled a shark off the Florida Keys..." I think he is beating my stitch record now. Let's hope there are no more sutures in the near future. Not swimming for a while is probably going to be the worst. By the way, I hope you got your birthday present in the mail. Belated Happy Birthday to you! If the fishing trip was part of your birthday, then it was a good one!
